My name's sean and i now have two very good looking blue irn's which i got 3 weeks ago and judging by what i have read on the forum...have been going through the usual flapping of wings and the occasional bit of panic

I work from home so i keep them on my desk, now and then whenst i look up i'm greeted with curious stares like they have been watching me all this time, very funny!
I'm really not sure how old they are, the people in the pet shop were next to useless and very undereducated on the subject, they even told me they were australian parrots

anyway i know they are young maybe 7-10 months and obviously i have no idea what sex they are because of the pet shop being useless... however one (Biggles) has a very masculine personality, he flaps his wings to show off and goose steps up and down his perch almost constantly, every now and then i catch him making the funniest of sounds to the other one whilst contracting his pupils, looks like a mating ritual to me but i have no idea and he has no ring so i don't know!!!
i dont want to take them on a trip to get DNA tested as i really dont want to stress them out that much at this juncture!!
Do male Irn's have any particular behaviours that can identify them before they get their ring?
Thanks and i'm glad to be on this forum!!
Sean
