Eucalyptus???

Hi everyone Im new to this forum and am doing research into the care of IRN. It seems I have stumbled apon conflicting statements on this forum and wanted to be certain of this:
On the bringing a new bird home topic it states eucalyptus to be poisionous wereas on the topics about perches and wood it says it is safe. Has anyone used this as perches in thier IRN cages as its a very abundant plant here in Australia?

eucalyptus is the only branches i use for my bird
its very safe and i have never had a problemme with it

What about the leaves??

i regularly put branches with leaves gumnuts & flowers in the cages they all love to rip them apart & destroy them with no ill effects i also use bottle brush alot too
