Age Question
How do you tell how old the bird is? It's tail is about 7 inches long.
You cant really tell by the tail alone because ringnecks moult every year so they grow new tail feathers every year.
The best way is if you can ask the place you got it from, but failing that the beak and eye colour is slightly different in young ones, and if its a male and has a ring than you can tell its more than 18months. otherwise it is virtually impossible to tell if you have an immature bird or an adult female.
