Hi and welcome.

Go for as big a cage as you can afford and fit into you place.

A cage should be large enough to house various toys, perches, food & water bowls, treats, etc, without compromising the birds comfort and being cramped up.
Longer cages are better than tall cages as birds fly lengthways not height. Think of them as a plane not a helicopter! :P

You need room so the bird has enough area to spread his wings without hitting any of the bars or having his tail feathers bent up.

it also depends on how long the bird will be housed in the cage during the day. If he is in the cage for most of the day, a larger cage would be more suited, if out for most of the day, then you could have a smaller cage as it would be more like his sleeping quarters. But I would still go with the largest one you can. :)

As for bar spacing, I use 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch spacing. If too large a gap, the bird could get his head caught and injure himself.

Not in the same cage, the lovebirds is in a levingroom voliere, and dont need to come out muts, and they are relly friendly.
They ville only have to share me and my apartment, I think that it will go okay.
