he will come out eventally right now hes just adjusting to his new envoiroment
sit his cage in a room you spend alot of time in so he can watch you going about your day
eat in front of his ........i dont know why this works but it does
dont force him out of the cage he will come out when he feels ready
goodluck & keep us posted

ha ha ha hes probably asking you to share at least once a day i try to eat something i can share with mu bubs
eg fruit platter, popcorn stuff like that then when they gett excited i ask if they want some and depending on the bird i either feed it to them from my hands or drop some in their bowls
i have at the momment 3 of my six in the house skeet the baby of the family will go to the perch she likes to eat from if shes in her cage or if shes out she just helps herself  ,riku is the same but our newest addition to the family pickle is a total scardey bird & panics when i even change the seed bowls so i just drop treats in the bowl & say "yummies for pickle and as soon as i turn my back hes on it!!!!we have had pickle scince march but he still is very worried by people
hows murf doing now?

the irns are the easy part
we have a huge amount of animals we have the 6 irns
4 budgie
cats
ferrets
mice
cockatiels
2dogs &
2 teenager
plus fish
the seed you are feeding smurf is a good choice
be patient about smurf coming out it will happen when he feels safe enough

To get my rescued IRN to eventuallly come out of his cage I put a treat on the cage door and his stomache won out. Now he always comes out looking for something or now just plain curious. You may want to try that.

whats the point your trying to make cheshirecat? lots of people on here have several different animals and they are all looked after pretty well. things may be different where you are from, please dont assume its the same everywhere.
