hi all
we recently got a grey ringneck (who we have named Poppy) from someone who had been given her by someone else who didnt want her. we dont dont know anything about her before we got her. we thought she may be old as she was scruffy, but she has since had what we think was a moult and now has grown so we now think she may be young. She had had her wings clipped but they have since grown back and she loves to fly around the living room all day and watch people go by when she sits on the window handles. she is very noisy and squawks and often sits and seems to be talking to herself.
We would like to know how to make her tame as she wont even let us go too near her without her either `growling` at us or flying away. we dont know alot about ringnecks, only what we have read on the internet, so any advice would be appreciated. thanks, Lisa and Poppy

Welcome Lisa & Poppy.
There are lots of people on here who have tamed non handraised birds successfully, who might be able to help plus also if you have a look at some of the threads, you could find help there to.
I think re clipping the wings would help quicker in the taming proccess. Also food is a great irresistable "bribe" that ringies just seem to can't help but fall for.
