are we to late.....

Hi,
We have just put a good breeding pair together in a cage with a breeding box the hen is in and out of the box all the time throwing out what she doesn't want... can you tell me if we are to late or can she still lay this season. we are in qld australia

she is just working the box....getting it ready to lay her eggs.
She may still be a few weeks off.

This pair have breed and we now have 6 eggs..... unsure when they are dur to hatch as we are confused as some say count from third and some say count from fourth egg...

Congrats on your eggs----my Lutino pair have laid 6 as well

Ive been told by others on here that you count 3 weeks from when the last egg was laid.Good luck
