Hi, I'm Wendy,
I just brought my new baby ringneck home yesterday. It's name is Bullet. It is a friendly little thing. Bullet has quickly learned "step up." I am hand-feeding 3-4 times a day. This morning when I fed him/her, I put a piece of broccoli and apple in my hand. I was very surprised to see how quickly the little guy started eating it. I think he is 8 weeks old now. I have it in a different room, and in a few days, I will introduce it to my three cockatiels that are about 3 mos old now. After reading some of the posts about the bluffing stage, I was a little worried about being bitten, still am, but I am less nervous now that I have him home with the family. I appreciate any helpful advice and info that you "experts" can provide me. I have been reading posts for the last month try to get as much info as i can. I will try to post some pics soon.
Bullet is the prettiest shade of yellow green. The pet store lady says the color is cinnamon ????? All I know is the dad was blue and the mother was gray.
Sorry for such a long post. I'm just a proud new mamma.
Wendy

Hi Wendy & Bullet. Bullet sounds like a cool name, you got to let Bullet fly now
!!
Don't worry about bluffing, Bullet may not even go through that.
All i got to say left is, you are on your way to having a tame
Indian Ring neck! But the only way Bullet will become untame
is if you stop showing him/her love. Good luck & get those pics.

how Bullet got the name
I meant to tell you all how Bullet got his name. One day when I was visiting him at the pet store I was racking my brain trying to figure out a name, then it hit me. His band says rAK 47, and the first thing that came to mind was Bullet. I know, I know. An AK47 doesn't shoot bullets, but "machine" just didn't fit, and so the first thing that came to mind was "Bullet" and that's how he/she got the name.
Thanks U.S. Marine. I will definitely keep my hands in the cage, cause I want a tame bird, and besides that, it's not fair to keep them in the cage all day. They are part of the family too:)
Can you tell how proud I am.
