Hallo, Just joined
Hi from North Carolina, I just acquired a new ringneck yesterday, at the moment she wishes to draw blood when I come near, but hopefully I can work with her. I hope to meet some good people here

Hi! and welcome to the forum!
When we first got Chocobo, he was a scared little thing (took him about 3 weeks to get used to his new home), after interacting and talking with him everyday, we gained his trust, with his trust came "bluffing," with bluffing came chunks missing...he never actually bit me though -would only fluff up and pretend- but would bite my partner and draw blood. He doesn't do that much anymore and has probably stopped actual biting- last incident was two days ago when dragged his beak down my partners lip when my partner turned to look at Choco on his shoulder- but I don't think that was an intentional "I want to hurt you- or- go away" kind of attitude, because Choco is such a sweet gentle bird (okay not partially gentle but can be when he wants to be!)..with a very strong will-power which can come across as something else!
Looking forward to hearing and seeing pictures of your bird.
