I have had charly my lutino indian ringneck for four years and he is just the most wonderful little bird. He has a huge vocabulary, loves to sit on my shoulder, gives me kisses and occassionally ( when it suits him) lets me stroke his head. Lately however with work I feel like I am not spending enough time with him and I was wondering about getting him a mate.
Was thinking about putting some time into taming a female ringneck and then the two of them can party hard together while I am at work and keep each other company.
Can this be done or will I lose the bond I have with charly? I just thought if I put time into the bird as well I could have two happy tame birds?
Any help from more experianced people would be greatly appreciated!

Ive wondered the same thing for my guy Syd. I read females can be very aggressive with males around breeding season so weve opted to look for a male friend.
I think if you work with both birds the bond will stay there. But you do have to work at it.
had charly out yesterday for hours on my shoulder while I did stuff and he loved the attention. I just feel a bit bad about being all day at work. I have also read that a male companion might be the way to go.
