OMG, Please help, my bird wont stop biting

Post by ange »

Ok, so i have got my birds checked out, all clear, no diseases from the lorrie that died, but my green one is still very agressive, he/she has stopped loosing feathers, and attacks myself and my other bird if i feed the other irn first. He/she bites pretty hard, i want to get him out of this habbit, could they be the same sex? Having 2 different coloured IRN, is that a problem? Any advise would be great!!!! Thank you so much

may be u should get your bird trim and put on a t stand

untill he adapt to environtment, start to talk to him softly and with alot of treat...

for me, if he bite, i will shake my hand and get him off balance(shake abit, not till the bird fall) and say stop it when u shake...

i think your bird bite cause of jealousy or untameness
not to sure though
could they be the same sex? Having 2 different coloured IRN, is that a problem?

not a problem i think...[/code]

it takes time...but just remebere to give alot of treat...
like sunflower seeds...but dont give the treat in the diet...the treat only ment to be given direclty from your hand(for me )

and clip the wing to get the bird under control and make them depend on you

it take times to touch the bird...concentrate on the bird pearching on you and interact with them...slowly ticekl the face 1st...until the bird confortable the move on to more contact

no short cut...it really take alot of patience

juat rmeber to reward alot of treat and ONLY you are the source of the food

everybody have alot of effective method too, but that is the method that i use...
goodluck

I can't touch my bird either. He used to bite too much aswell - not so much anymore though. If we went near him he'd bite.

Are both your birds free flying or are their wings clipped?
