Over the Internet, and through the wide population of Professional and Amateur breeding circles of Indian Ringnecks, there is a flood of incorrect, and often very misleading names given through either untruths, ignorance, or sticking to names that have since been re-classified as the old names were temporary or misleading to the actual mutation at hand.
What I have done is try to form a list of the common misrepresentations of the true names that Indian Ringnecks hold. Please, read this, and remember the actual terms... feel free to add to this list as well in replies, and I will add your responce to the list.
This is not a general mutation list at the moment, just a list of commonly botched up names for established mutations. Please be aware, the aka terms are WRONG, regardless of how established they are. Some are nicknames like Silver for Grey Cinnamon and Sky Blue for Blue Cinnamon, these, while being well used, are just nicknames, not actual terms that should be applied to the mutation.
Another nickname like silver etc, is the very common "GoldenOlive" this is actually a "GreyGreen Cinnamon" thanks to "tassie" for pointing that one out for me.

hello up until a few weeks ago i didn,t know what the true mutation of my AKA goldolive ringneck (greygreen cinnamon) was.
Even in the guide to bird pricings that is through the bird club i am in does not have correct names thanks to some helpful people and articles here i found the correct ones.
i am glad i found this website!!!

Awsome, I will make another note of that actually in the above to simplify that a bit further.
This is why places like this exist, sharing knowledge, and increasing it.
EDIT: I really really wish people could start using the real names. Australia seems somewhat more backward in the naming of birds and is quite well known for "making it up as you go"... maybe one day people will pick it up and start moving the right direction.
