Meet Peeps

Post by Peeps »

This is my chinchilla Peeps. Her parents passed away when she was one week old. So I had to raise her myself.

She had to be fed every two hours night and day for two months. It was a lot of work but I would not change a things. I love her with all my heart. Now, she is my biggest chinchilla so I did something right. I placed a hot pack in her bed at night so she would stay warm. She was with me constantly so she felt my heart beat because they can easily die from lack of attention.

She gets a play time every night on my bed and we watch some shows and snuggle. She is extremely spoiled and has hissey fits when she doesn’t get what she want.

That is funny you thought she would look like a cat. She's as big as one.

We are so limited by what we can actually own pet wise here in Australia. Importation laws and quality control push this difficulty even further :/

Oh we have animals, however our variety comes from dogs and cats, and birds.

Mamal wise we are quite limited regarding the native fauna and its almost impossible to import animals from other countries unless you owned it as a pet for minimum 6 months before bringing it here etc... lots and lots of red tape.. then there is the quarantine, which can last for 6 months on many species in government buildings etc... list goes on and on >.>
