Biteing like a mental parrot

Koi has been tame for a couple of weeks he perches on my hand but only when iv got him a treat but when it's gone he goes MENTAL at my hand by biteing me very hard.so my question is how can i stop it.

sounds like bluffing stage be patient it wont last long there are heaps of posts about bluffing

I dont think its bluffing iv had him for about 3-4 months now and he still hates being touched but he sits next to me maybe he doesnt trust me enough.

he bites me alot he is about 6 months old and only goes for my nails.

The only thing I can suggest is remain patient with him. Don't let him see that biting gets a reaction out of you and don't stop taking him out because of it. It sounds like he is testing the waters to see what he can and can't get away with. GL!

It does sound like bluffing. The time period does change about.. but its not out of the ordinary heh.
