At the moment, the Alexes aviary is very bare with just two perches one at either end of their 7ft flight. I wanted to keep things to a min at the moment as I did not want them hurting them self's it they flapped about in panic, but I would like to slowly introduce some toys over the next month or so going on how they have settled.
I was going to get one or two tough polymer type toys, something like these ...

The idea was to hang them on the out side of the aviary for a week or so so they get accustom to them before moving them in to the flight and then filling them with treats to keep them busy.
In your opinion, do you think that Alexes would enjoy these type of toys, if not could you suggest any thing else apart from the rope type toys as I do not trust any birds not to stred these and then get tangled in them.
Would you give toys?
