Talking/????????????

Post by KIWI's mommy »

Hi all,
I was just wondering how long it takes an IRN to start talking. My baby is 5 months old today ( Happy Birthday to my baby KIWI), she is such a character. I am still getting used to her snotty little ways. One minute kissy and lovey and the next minute BAM attack mode. She is starting to sqwak and when I leave the room she will scream, but I was just wondering how long before I might hear a word or two. We thought we heard the beginning of one a couple days ago. Thank you all for your comments. :D

Aww.. Happy 5 months Kiwi!

IRNs generally start talking (or mumbling, trying to form words) around 5 months. Some start early some later, some not at all. My Yoda is almost 1 year (September) and is still trying to say new things. Yodas already copied Jibby talking and now I can't work out which one said what!

:? My mistake. 8 months sounds better! Thanx for clearing that up Imran. But then some are early and some later? I guess it doesnt really matter. Just keep up the repetition and keep trying. Sorry for the confusion.

Happy 5 months Kiwi ! :D

as above, but I reckon its not clear and clever until at least 2. Before that its cute but by the time they have practiced for a year or two they sound so close to being human its uncanny !

Talk alot of different things, it won't confuse them. They will pick up their favorites to begin with and then move on to learning the other stuff. Our Jordan is moving on in leaps and bounds at the moment and he understands exactly what all the different things mean. Treats, ni ni's, come here, step up, want a shower, get you food, give me a kiss, upside down, turn around and this is just the beginning. it's amazing how much they understand and learn. (kisses, sneezes, squeaks, laughs, on and on and on)
