my mom has a cocketiel (cooper) and i have oliver
i get them together sometime but he always pins his eyes and i am always right there to have my hand cuase i am afraid he is gonna lunch at cooper
what do i do?
i want them to be friends

Hi Justin!! Do these birds live in the same household or do they just visit on occasions? If they live in the same house all the time then it's much easier to get them to socialize with each other but if your bird just comes to visit then I say chances are pretty slim of them ever being friendly to each other. Try putting their cages side by side first and let them communicate and then slowly introduce them. Don't put them on the same play area together. This is a slow process so don't give them any time limits and don't rush them into a friendship that might not ever develop.

My birds were never friendly towards eachother (IRN and tiel) and they never will be. Every they were out together it was always a race to see who could run and attack the other one first...
my IRN doesn't even like his sister... he doesn't like any other birds actually, I let him choose his own friends...
