to help with learning about the new additon to my flock...
Several of you here may know me from other places....

A week ago today.. had and Alexandrine Ringneck adult male delivered to my front door....
knew he was a ringneck but not what kind..

IDed for me in pics....

His name is Shamrock.. but when he is in a freindly mood and will step up.. corrects me with... "I Shammy".. with bobbing head...
Shammy is at least 6 + years old.. and was NOT living in good conditions when I got him.....
I am the third parront.. the orginal owner died just over a year ago.. and elderly woman and know of her having him for at least 5 years before her death.
I also have 3 cockatiels.. two of which I have had for some time.... the third arrived here at the beginning of this month....
Shammy was the suprise addtion....and I did not intend to get a fid this large or with this large of a beak....
At the vet check.... was told he is under weight.by his breast bone being prominent..... the vet could not get his weight because he would not stay on scale long enough for his weight to registar..
he is 23 inchs from head to tail tip.. the largest Alexandrine Ringneck that my vet has ever seen...

His cage is old and in bad condition.. but at least clean now and has natural perchs and toys....
I am now searching for another cage.. but am limited by finances at present....
So here is Shammy..... beautiful fid....

After bath pic.... and he really enjoyed the first bath here...

Think this is long enough for first post...

Will give diet feeding to him at present at a later time....
