She instantly bonded to me, a male of the human species

Anyway, I place her on my shoulder and she sits there with her head as tight against my neck as possible and continually chirps while I scratch her head and neck. She sits in a "bowed " position.
She will do this for a solid 45 minutes before she gets enough and decides its time to explore the environment or she will start grooming my hair.
I am assuming this is some sort of mating behavior?
Anytime I pass the cage she assumes this position and chirps begging for contact.
Is this normal all year round or is this just a seasonal behavior?
Is this a common IRN behavior?
