G'day, im the new guy

Post by shonofear »

HI,
I'm really glad I found this site, found heaps of great tips for my 1 yr old IRN. His name is Luee.
He likes 2 destroy things, most recent thing being my friends Xbox controller... :x

But he can be (i think its a he) the best friend to have around, he hates trying 2 be scratched, or any hands above his head.
Not 2 sure the best way to teach him..........

so, yea

Nice 2 meet u all

:o

Welcome! Love the photos; your fid looks a lot like mine. Magellan's latest love is frosted mini wheat cereal. Amazing how much fun a bird can have walking up and down a nice fuzzy blanket on top of a person scattering pieces of shredded wheat and powdered sugar (if I wasn't munching away I could have pretended like I was trying to stop her). Cheers,
MCS

Hi and welcome to the board. Good to see another Aussie in our midst. Luee is gorgeous. Is he a year old? Hmmm someone want to tell me when the boys usually get their rings?
Anyway nice to see your baby, we all love pictures here.

Hello and Welcome. Luee is a stunner! Ive been here a short while and have found heaps of great info on IRNs. Also good to see another fellow Aussie. People here are great and helpful. Male IRNs get their rings around 2 I think (not 100%) but close. Also differs from bird to bird. I cant remember when my Gilbert got his and I cant wait to find out if Yoda is male or female! ohh the long wait.

I like your pic. it kind of looks like the cd is hitting luee and he is yelling. I know you probably didn't mean it to and I'm not trying to make fun, but i think it's funny........(does this say anything about my relationship with fiona lol)
I really like those pics. I think fiona is actually a male. "she" has a black ring w/ light blue underneath too, but not so much black under the beak.

Fiona thinks she gets whatever we are eating. We have to watch our plates like a dog that jumps up on the table(she limbs up on the table). If we don't let her have any she paces back and forth and stare at you and tries to get to you like it's a matter of life and death. If we still refuse, she'll go back in her cage and scarf down a bunch of pellets while staring at us.
BTW how do you guys put those cool pics or "collages" as a signature.

hi there,
thats the other question i was gonna ask...
Why does my IRN have such a black bottom beak?
Is this normal...?

to Fiona,
2 add pic as signature.
first upload pic to image hosting site (www.photobucket.com), its free.
Now, copy the IMAGE code.
e.g [img]http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c28/xxxxx/bird.jpg[ /img]
(without the space between [/img]

go to Edit Profile on this site,
and where it says signature, paste the exact code
(same as above)

there u have it.

all the best

I know males usually have the black under their beak and on the bottom beak, but I don't know if it is exclusively a male trait or not.
