DNA test

Post by Peanut »

I was jsut wondering if I should get a DNA test done on my 9 month old IRN.... I want to know wether its a boy or a girl, but I don't want my IRN to go through a lot of pain. Do they feel a lot of pain when their nail gets clipped to short to get the test done? Will my baby be mad at me for taking it??? Please let me know if there is an alternative taes that can be done if there is one. Thanks for the help! :D

The vet

Post by Bird crazy »

I had both mine done at the vet. He drew blood and sent it off at the same time he was doing the routine blood work to do a preliminary health check. And I might add my Priya did have some sort of infection and is still on antibiotics. So I'm glad I had her checked, I could have just found her dead one day if I hadn't

They didn't seem to hurt too bad from the lab draw but needless to say they didn't like being handled by the big bad vet. They loved me when I rescued them from his big old paws. :D Nothing like getting to feel like a hero.
