Same here with my IRN Hoogie. We built a play gym for him and put in a couple of toys. But he always pick up the toys, bring them to the edge of the play gym and drop them. I am trying to each him to pick up coins to put in a plastic container, but he is more interested in taking out the coins from the container!

Having four boys, I thought my days of playing pick-up were over... ha! India is worse. I didn't put it together what she was doing until now. I am realizing, she has more sense than I give her credit for. I put her at the mentality of about a 2 yr old. Now, more like a 5 yr old because she knows how to manipulate.

Mylo, has a habit of playing and dropping my keys and cage lock where only recently l left the lock and keys on top of the cage. The next morning after l locked the cage the previous night,l went to unlock the cage but coudn't find the key's???l spent nearly half an hour searching the house and everywhere getting frustrated, finally l took the bolt cutters and then saw the keys inside the cage on a branch at the back
Guess who
Mylo must have had a good laugh at my expense

Greg, Mylo and the flock!
Hane loves to take the wooden pieces from his toys (after he unties them from their knot) and place them in his water. First time he did it was a red bead. I went to change the water- it was red! I freaked out for a moment until I finally saw the bead in it. I thought my baby had bled, lol.
He'll drop the larger beads in and then take them out. So far he's had green, yellow, and red feet from holding the wet pieces for a thorough chewing.

Tony does that all the time. His favorite toys are cat balls with wells in them. He chases them around the floor of his cage, hides them in his food and water bowls (then finds them and throws them around), and drags them to the top of his cage so he can throw them off. He just doesn't drop them, he hurls them. In fact we play a game on the floor where I roll him a ball and he hurls it back at me. He loves it. He also likes to hold the ball in his foot and just shake it back and forth so it jingles. It's his little routine to tell me it's time to wake up or time for bed.
along the lines of throwing things in the water....does anybody else's bird decide what color pellet to put in his water and put only that color in all day?
