George woke up all upset today

Post by iaowings »

Ok so George woke up all upset today at 6 something I just glanced at the clock when he started making a racket it had a blurry 6 with some other blurry numbers. I went to his cage to see what he wanted; apparently he wanted out of his cage as he was sitting by the door looking at me. so I opened the door and he climbed out and sat on top of his cage. normally he wants to snuggle in the mornings so I went to pick him up and he growled at me and shoved my finger away with his beak. I let the other birds out to do their morning routine and laid back down. about 5 minutes after this I hear George squawking again. So I go to see what he could possibly want I figure he was ready for his breakfast and was letting me know its time for warm num num’s (that’s what we call treats and cooked food). I get him his warm food but he is still not happy and is making noise. He didn’t even touch his food, and the tiels started to nibble on it. George just walked over to the tiels and starts screaming at them, I finally figured it out he wants to be alone this morning to sulk for what ever reason. Normally he and the tiels hang out all day on top of and in his cage. I removed the tiels and gave them their own food and finally George is slightly happy and begins to slowly eat his food. I asked him if was happy now and he growled at me the little snot. So George is in a bad mood today and not wanting to be around anyone. Well I figure I will just let him get it out of his system and I know he will come begging for snuggles latter today or tomorrow morning. Just though id share my morning with you all.

I always wake up like that!!!
Just ask my husband.
Wonder what got his little system out of sorts though, Is he starting a
moult, or maybe a growth/hormone surge.
Hope he's back to his usual self tomorrow.

I'll be my ususal cranky self come tomorrow, I'm sure of it. :x

It took him a wile but around 2pm he came wanting hugs and snuggles. I just figured he woke up early and didn’t feel all that happy about being awake or something and let the world know that he was not happy today.

He is doing so much better now. He is all sweet and huggable. I just though this morning was to funny the way he was acting I had to hold in the laughing. Oh I can’t imagine how he would have reacted if I would have laughed at him.

uhhuh amen to that!!!
last few days for no reason what so ever, baby has been the biggest brat i can imagine, so nippy and touchy, i try pat her anyway, she hisses, but strange thing is, shes been wanting to come out more when im around. i usually bring her out in the mornings, even opening her door to change her water, she doesnt want a thing to do with me, same deal in the afternoons when i get home. yet the last few dayys, shes been coming out almost immediately in the mornings, coming to me is ok, touching her is NOT, ditto again for afternoons, im working on it.. still trying, forever trying lol
