Weird tail feathers

My little one just went through her first moult about a month ago. All her feathers have grown back beautifully except for her tail. Two of her main tail feathers have come out white with a blue tip (she is blue by the way) and very skinny. One of her wing feathers is like this as well. Anyway her tail now looks very scraggly and the feathers look as if they could snap off any minute. She also chews on them like she's trying to break them off. I rang my vet & he said it may be the mutation coming out or it could be diet. Will these feathers get thicker or is this the way they will stay until the next moult? I am a tad concerned - she is not the beautiful girl she once was!

I hope this topic gets replies because I am a new Mom and my 10 wk IRN had lost two tail feathers this week. Is this common? I dont ever know what moalting is but I suppose it is like sheading?

Poor India, her mama's got a lot of love but I hope thats all she needs to survive her childhood because I am CLUELESS!

carrie try chageing your IRNs diet maybe she is malnutrated.
