Saw a grey

I happened to stop at the local pet store tonight and they had a
baby grey irn. I hadn't seen one before. Wow, they are pretty and this
one is really cute, but very skittish. The clerk said a man had come in earlier in the week and tried to handle him and he drew blood on the guy. But they said he was hand fed.

Pretty little thing and now I know why everone was saying how much they'd like one.

Hi guys:
It's at Pet Supermarket in N Ft Myers on 41 on the rt side. Girl told me they were asking $399.00. That's less than I paid for Nila.

And he's really really cute.

If they are male do they get a ring or they like albino and no ring male and female?

Oooh that's where I got Baby...only the one on the North Trail in Naples. He was that price because that is a "rare" color they said.

My boyfriend and I went in the one we got Baby from yesterday and they got an albino. The poor thing is scared out of it's mind. Isn't hand raised and won't let you hold it. I tried to hold it many times but it would just latch onto my hand or finger with its beak and dig it's beak into my flesh! I don't really care because afterall pain is just pain...I really wanted to see if I would be able to tame it, but I don't think so

It wouldn't step up and when I got it on my finger it would flap off back into it's cage or the nearby parakeet cage where they all attacked it! :cry:

same with this grey, supposedly hand fed but unable to be handled.
Go figure, I'm not sure the way they keep them on display is the best, so that your hovering over them, it's too threatening. Anyway my husband isn't feeling well and I may just make a short trip over there and take a pic or two and see if they can get him out if I can then handle him.

I'll let you know if I get the chance.

Greys get a gorgeous ring...black and white...simply stunning...hence why when I get one I want a boy

just got back from the pet store, the grey is pretty and so much larger than my Nila. He's really pretty. Took a picture and I'm going to post it. They told me he's 4-5 mos old. I was able to handle him, he calmed down pretty quickly and I took him a couple of nutriberries but he wouldn't take them from my hand. I left them with him, Took a stick along and he was good about stepping up and down from the stick and my hand. Never got bit.
