I was reading my Bird Talk magazine and it was talking about keeping your bird from becoming bored. It mentioned the same old food in the same old bowls. Then suggested moving their bowls around. Which I never thought of. I just grab them each morning, fill them up, and put back in the exact spot they always have been in. So now I'm putting them in a different spot each day, to try to keep things interesting. I've also mixed five different types of pellets-Harrisons, L...something, Zupreem reg. pellets, and two different Zupreem avian entree pellets together for their pellet food. So I'm trying to keep things interesting for them there. Does anyone else do that or does anyone else move their food and water bowls around?
Just wondering.

Yeah, once a month I DO A COMPLETE tear and scrub down and arrange everything completely different except where he sleeps and the toy he sleeps with.
Other than that... he thinks he has scored a whole new cage. Truth is, Baby loves Peaches cage... grew up there. But it would be crazy to put a ringneck in that cage and a tiel in the huge one.

I'm going to do just that this weekend. I'm going to tear each cage down and take them outside and scrub them and let the air dry and then put them back together. It's to be only in the 70's so it will be perfect to do that. I'm so bad at rearranging tho'. I try to rearrange their toys every couple weeks and I just stink at it. And the perches? Good grief, what a pain. I always end up putting one right in the way of me getting food bowls out or putting them in. I'm such a mess.
