Tiki was a character yesterday........

Post by Lisa's Tiki »

Yesterday I took Tiki with me when we went to visit my in-laws. We stopped at a fast food place and took lunch with us. First of all I couldn’t take Tiki in the fast food place with me and I couldn’t go through the drive thru, because I had a special order (picky mother-in-law) and was using coupons, so I left Tiki in the car with my daughter. I parked right by the door so I could keep an eye on them and as soon as I stepped out of the car Tiki started putting up a fuss because he didn’t want me to leave him. Well according to my daughter, he kept squawking the entire time I was gone. When the ladies were leaving in the car next to mine, I saw the woman look in the car and say something to my daughter. When I got back in my car, I asked my daughter what she had said to her. My daughter told me she just said “Hello” and “What a pretty bird!” But then my daughter tells me, the woman looked into the car to begin with because Tiki was still squawking and when she looked in the car, Tiki looked up at her and said “Hello” and that’s when the woman responded.

Then his antics didn’t stop there. I sat his cage on the patio table in the middle and my husband sat down at the corner of the table and started eating. Well Tiki hopped off his perch and ran to the corner of the cage where my husband’s plate was sitting and he kept looking from the food to my husband. My husband told him to stop it, but naturally he didn’t stop. My husband then ask if he can give him a fry and I told him no, because it wasn’t good for him, so he said “Sorry Tiki, Mommy says No!” Well Tiki kept standing there and making him feel guilty and when he saw that he still wasn’t going to get anything, he cocks his little head sideways and says to my husband “Who’s a good birdie?” My husband said “Oh come on Lisa, let me give him one French fry, he’s killing me here!” So I gave in and we gave him a small fry and he happily hopped back onto his perch and devoured the whole thing!

I wonder how much I just laughed before Baby. For no real reason, just filled with joy from watching something that you just grin.

I seemed fullfilled before him but now I couldnt see life any other way.

i never eat fast food but i do max and kannah almost always one fry each. so they know its coming kannah automaticaly will spill his owl and grad up the cage and drop it till he gets it. Yes sometimes max gets more if i ask him to bring me a soda or a beer and he get it for me. I love these creatures.
