I am wondering if anyone knows anybody that has IRN's in Ontario for sale or adoption. I just took Jelly Bean(Lutino IRN) to the vet for her wing clipping and nail trim and a checkup, and discussed with her the idea of getting a companion IRN for Jelly Bean. The vet says that she thinks Beanie would respond very well to another of her own kind and it may help with the plucking. We are putting our house up for sale soon, but after we move then I would like to get her a companion. So I am starting to look around now and would appreciate any insight as to where to obtain one around these parts. The pet stores around here don't carry IRN's.
Thanks, Amy and Beanie

Hi Sheri, I am an hour east of Toronto. I am looking for a mature bird as I do not want to bring in any babies in case Beanie might have a bacterial infection. We were going to have the blood tests done but the vet said there is nothing we can do if the tests come back positive anyway. She said that it can be fatal for chicks or really young birds but won't affect our adults.
Another question, are alexandrines considered part of the IRN family enough to be a companion for Jelly Bean?

Hi Amy,
I have a few links of breeders near your area...perhaps they can put you in touch with an older IRN.
