I have no idea about temperament differences because I've never owned an African Ringneck. What I can tell you is that even though they're both beautiful birds, in MY OPINION Indian Ringnecks are more "majestic " looking. Sleeker, more vibrant and they come in a ton of color variations. Indian Ringneck beaks are always bright red (in some mutations the lower mandible is black) African Ringnecks have dark beaks. Indian Ringnecks are also larger. Here's an example of pics I Googled...
