Suggestions needed

Post by jen5239 »

This might sound strange to those of you lucky enough to live in a real city. But I am having the hardest time fiinding a t-stand. I just want a simple t-stand and do you think I can find one??? It's really beginning to make me mad. My husband and I keep bidding on them on ebay and get outbid. And I don't want to pay out the nose for one. I can't seem to find them on the net either. So do any of you--here in America-have any suggestions? Now mind u, my hubby aint crafty like Mik and Jade's! No building of anything like that is going to happen here. I didn't think finding one would be this ridiculously difficult. So anyone got any ideas? Athena??? Any websites?

Thanks!

Well I am not sure what kind of T-stand you want, but I have bought stuff from www.getbirdstuff.com and I have been very happy with their service and their prices are very competitive. As far as Ebay goes, have you tried putting in an amount that ends in an odd number, for example: You are willing to pay $9.99, however sometimes if you put in an amount of $10.63 you sometimes stand a better chance of winning the item. Also, which ever item you are looking for on Ebay, just put a watch on it and then try bidding just a minute of two before the item closes, this sometimes helps as well. Good luck!

Thanks Lisa,
I checked out that site and they didn't have what I'm looking for. I just want a stand with a round tray on the bottom to catch poo and stuff and a perch for them to just hang on with bowls on each end. Simple. So I can take them out on my front porch in the summer. I'll try to ebay hint. Thanks.

Jen,

Have you looked at Desmond Pet Depot on Ebay? They have one up for auction right now and no one is bidding on it. Here is the link:

I have bought from these people in the past and they are reilable.

Lisa

Too bad you don't live closer to So. Ca., my local swap meet, a guy sells them for around $30.

Oh you have got to just build one, get over the fear.

They are really simple. Pizza pan on the bottom. Dowel in the center. Another dowel on top. You guys can do 2 screws, its not hard.

;)

I have a couple unused around here, wish you were closer.

I agree Athena...just build one. Has to be cheaper than buying one.

Ok Athena and Dani,
I'm going to show John this post and MAKE him try to do this. What do u put it on so it will stand on its own? Never thought of making one. I'm so not Martha Stewart! Tee hee. Not trying to offend anyone. But I'm not creative at all. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Wish us luck.

Use a round pizza pan, and it will stand with the perch atop it :)

They really are simple. You can get more complicated, but theres no point to it.

Build that T-stand!

Build that bad-boy!!

You won't regret it and it'll be fun and you'll see what attracts your fid to it and you can keep on enhancing it.

You can get the stuff you need and put one together in a week end.

Build that sucker.

Maybe some of you clever "handypeople" could post a few pictures to help Jen convince john how easy it will be to make them

Thank you all for lovely ideas and suggestions, but come to find out we did win the bid on ebay. So we should be getting our t-stand shortly. I'm excited cuz then I can take my babies out on the porch or easily into other rooms. Their play stand is just so big and hard to manuevere! Esp. in my tiny house. So now I don't have to try to convince John of the ease of making one. Cuz that so would not have happened. Ya'll just don't know my honey. LOVE HIM TO DEATH but motivated the man is not. So..Thanks again!
