Yesterday was a public holiday here in Australia. So we got the chance to sleep in for a change. Anyway, chook woke up at dawn and came into bed with us and all was well until about 7.30 when he wanted us to get up. So he sarted squaking. I shoved him back under the covers and told him to shut up, which he did for about 10 minutes, then he was back out on the pillows marching up and down and squaking. Jamie grabbed him, looked him in the eye and told him to shut up then rolled over and went back to sleep. Chook sat on my pillow and sulked for about 5 mins, then walked over to Jamie's pillow, stood directly in front of his ear and let out a massive squak, which near on gave jamie a heart attack.
You can't tell me that wasn't a malicious act and full of intent and that he didn't know what he was doing! Little bugger knew exactly what he was doing! Especially when he then ran back to me and under the covers where he then hid.
Bad Attitude and Malicious Intent

I didn't ever train him to get under the covers. He just loves being under or in things. He loves to hang out in my handbag and loves being inside my shirts while i'm wearing them. I think its because i handraised him from 3 days old and i made a 'cave' out of cloth baby nappies to keep him warm. He used to snuggle down in there and only come out for feeds. Ever since, he just loves being surrounded by something. At night he sleeps in a curtain hammock and all you see is his tail poking out. But then again, he is a strange little guy! Which makes me love him all the more.
Chook likes to communicate, by only saying his own name! Everything he loves or likes is called 'chook' - food, toys, us flock members, the dogs.... I wish he would say something else but alas, i don't think its going to happen. He can say other stuff, he just rarely says it. He likes to mimic though. Loves to do our laughs and jamie's smokers cough.
