Playgyms

Post by Angela »

I have been looking for a playgym for Squeak. Does anyone have one and what size did you get? There are a lot out there, but they seem too small or too large. Which one is best for a ringneck?

I know play gyms can get costly but I have a rule. If you can afford a large one then go for it. The larger the space available and budget available, then go for it. If you are limited in both space and budget, then find one that’s appropriate for a Conure or Cockatiel. Ringnecks are not picky. A shelve or a bed stand will do. Mine plays on the coffee table or on the counter while I cook. So don’t feel it’s necessary you purchase one.

You can even make one yourself. Take some Eucalyptus branches and sterilize them with one part bleach and 3 parts water. Let them sun dry until they are safe for the parrot. Attach them together with nails and your ringneck will enjoy that as a stand. Plus it makes for a really good chew toy;)

Hope this helps!

Best wishes
