Tiki got to the TV remote.....

Post by Lisa's Tiki »

My husband picked up the TV remote this morning and said “Hey what happened!” I looked at it and the AUX and Mute buttons were chewed completely down even with the remote and the volume and channel arrow buttons had little chunks missing from them. I normally open Tiki’s cage and he will immediately climb to the top and play on this tree gym. Every now and then Tiki will tell me “Come Here, Come Here, Step up” and I will go over and get him off his cage, but he very rarely comes off his cage by himself. Usually the only time he does come off his cage by himself it is by mistake. He has a “drawbridge” door and he will hang upside down from it and exercise his wings and sometimes he looses his balance and flies to the floor, but when he does, he just climbs right back up. Well yesterday he climbed down his ladder and walked across the room to me and sat on my lap for the longest time just talking away to me. I eventually put him back on his cage, but then about 20 minutes later, here he comes walking across the floor to me. I only held him about 15 minutes this time before I put him back, so I could run to the restroom. Well I guess after I put him back and went to the bathroom, the little bugger climbed back down, found a new toy (the remote) played with it for a few minutes and climbed back into his cage before I noticed. Gee I wasn’t gone that long so he sure did make quick work of it – either that or I have a mouse in my house, which I don’t think I do!

We have that problem too! Can't put vaseline on a remote control though!

We keep (and I am not joking) a few unopened universal remotes in a drawer. No matter how closely we watch someone always gets an important button off ours. For instance, my VCR remote has no power button... thanks Lilly!

Everyone who enters my house gets the lecture: "..... don't tease the birds and always place remotes on the coffee table face down...." This works fantastically for Chev and Dats who have no interest in a remotes backside (and have yet to work out how to turn it over  ) but Audi nudges them till they fall off the table then wrestles with it until he gets it over and drags it away to a quiet spot.....

Needless to say he is the reason we are missing our mute and power buttons, thanks sweetie :x

hehehe cute Chamon. Give everyone a lecture before entering your place...hrm wouldn't have to give us that one! :D I know I have to tell people the same thing...leave Prinny alone. Of course they just have to 'oh' and 'ah' over here and that just fluffs the princess' ego!
