Just curious....
What time do any of you put your irns to bed?? Do you do it like I've read you should, at dusk? My babies average between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. a night. Don't hate me if that's bad! But it's just my routine. So I was curious what others of you do??

Nope... they can look HATEFUL when unhappy.
Looking evil is certainly not a problem for them. Honestly, if Baby wasnt mine... I'd be terrified of a ringneck.
Very smily when having a blast.
Babys hateful look is where she puffs up and ignores me. She has this sleepy look sorta but I know better. Thats the give me a minute look. Or the I dont like this spot look.

My birds have their own room now, which they have very easy free travel to and from their room and play stands in the lounge, which puts them out of the way of traffic area's, (much safer for clipped, floor walkers).
So they come to eat with us at night, we all sit around a low lounge table to eat, so that they can have a big communal plate of food on the floor and join in with the flock dinner. I leave their room go dark when night falls, no lights, no power, (no danger). They tend to head home just after dinner, have a last drink and tuck themselves up, I follow them, close the doors to finish tucking them in.
Sometimes they want to stay out with us but I never let them stay out more than an hour after dark now, because first light has them awake again.
When kai was out in the second lounge with me on my computer he would still be awake sometimes at 11.30pm , even covered. From how he is now to then, I think you should stick close to natural if at all possible, much happier bird.
When I first gave them their own bird room, I thought that they would suffer contact being in a seperate room, but its not the case at all. They love their own space and still come out to be with us, way toooooo much sometimes.. lol (but I love it !

Well, the Chookster is very punctual when it comes to sleep. He is not a happy tired bird let me tell you. Usually around 6.30 he will start nipping at me for no reason. Just being nasty and crabby so i put him on the curtain rod. He will sit there for about 10 mins yawning, then he will climb down into his curtain sling, get comfy, and go to sleep. Usually by 7.00pm he is blissfully in sleepy town. He'll wake up about 5.30am and squak until i get him from the curtain and take him back to bed with me until i get up, or go walking with the dogs. He used to come in to my bedroom on his own, but for the past few months, he's worked out that whistling me saves him walking time.
