Once a talker, always a talker?

Post by Mikaela »

Now that Baby has acquired a fairly impressive vocabulary, do I have to worry about her not being a talker?

Anyone know of a ringneck with a great vocab that just stops talking?

Im just scared she'll just stop. Then again, she could not talk so much and I could stand it. Confused

Welp, I can see Im at a loss for something to worry about today. Im sure I can come up with something better than this is I try hard enough. Rolling Eyes

hehehe interesting question. I dunno...most birds I have heard of don't loose their ability to talk, just phrases. If the same thing gets said to them they tend to remember it but if they learn something and then it is never given to them again it will probably be forgotten.

She says Peek-a-Boo and that hasnt been said around her since Boo died. Baby was still a baby then so for the ones with babys... they remember, believe me.

They dont show it until they decide to but they remember. I think Baby may have been around 4 months old when Boo died. She hadnt heard that since.

Two things I really dislike for her to do:

Mimic my laugh (creeps me out) Sounds kinda wicked, evil sort of. Dont like.

Peek-a-Boo over and over (makes me sad)
