Last night when I was putting my babies to bed I headed for Byndi's cage. Well he of course boogied straight for the inside of his cage like he ALWAYS does. And he went straight for the back of the cage. Like he ALWAYS does. So I go to the front of the cage and speak in a very quiet, very sweet tone to him. Saying hello and come here and making kissing sounds and clicking my tongue. After a little while he came straight to the front perch and was acting very interested. So I kept going and don't you know he stuck his neck out to me and GAVE ME A KISS!!!!! He let me kiss him on his beak! And then he kept doing it!!!! I could just cry!!!! I bet we did this for five minutes. He'd get a little spooked and boogie back to the back of the cage and then I'd coax him up for some more. Then at one point he even came outside of the cage on a perch and peeked around the corner of the cage to give me a kiss. I called John in to see it and of course he wouldn't come anywhere near me then. I'M SO EXCITED. Then this morning when I was preparing Remmi's fresh food he got out of the cage from his food bowl door. So I go in and get him and am talking to him and kissing him and I notice Byndi just pacing back and forth on his perch. Back and forth, back and forth. So when I put Remmi away I go to Byndi and do the same thing and don't you know he put his beak thru the bars of the cage and gave me more kisses. I am so freakin excited. Not that you can't tell! I'm thinking we're breaking thru to this little bird! I'M JUST SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go home tonight and play some more with him! Sorry for the long post, but .......
Hugs,
Jen
