Is this possible??
So I've had him for almost 4 months now...he takes food from my hand when he's in the cage, with that we have a little bond that I can get close to him and I'm pretty sure he has trust in me for a little bit.. I've tried letting him out of the cage for 1-2 hours 2 times a week (he's not tamed and his wings aren't clipped) I always have a struggle catching him I always use a t-shirt and cover him to get him back to the cage.. So I would always try to make him go to the bathroom to easily catch him within the space. I don't want him to get hurt or really scared so what I always do is when he's in the bathroom I would let him be comfortable while I sit on the floor and talk to him calmly..when he's calm I'll try to approach him slowly with a shirt and I tried this new method by wrapping around the shirt and put it near his chest and make him try to step up (here's the exciting part) when he was on my wrapped hand I tried moving my hand and get him close to my face and talk to him...out of curiosity I wondered if he'll let me kiss him even if he's not tamed, surprisingly he did and I think he likes it cause I did it many times and trying to hold my kiss longer and longer without him reacting in fact he bows his head too! Does this mean he trusts me? Id like to post pics but I won't let me and say the file is too big

You need to teach your bird to step up and then you can lift him back into the cage. Also when he is out flying chasing him around will tire him out and he is more likely to go back in his cage. Set out all the food he eats on a plate and the first thing he picks up will be his favourite, do not include that in his food but use it as a treat or reward for good behaviuor, intice him back into his cage with the treat.
Everytime you towel him to get him back into the cage you are building up problems read our forum about all this but eventually you will be able to ask him to go back in his cage and he will too!

For the issue of getting him to step up rather than having to chase him around the room with a towel, might I suggest getting him to step up on a stick? We have four ringnecks, three of them rescues and largely untamed. All three of them will, however, step up onto a stick and let us walk them around the room with them. Go near them with a hand or sleeved arm, though, and the two would rather break a wing getting away. So we don't do that
All it takes is patience and consistency.
Good luck.
