Baby Scrub Turkey :)

Post by InTheAir »

We thought our resident native turkey had given up on his nest, as he hasn't been doing much yard work lately, but this evening I looked out the window and there's a little one trying to find somewhere to spend the night!
They are hatched fully independent and just wander off into the big wide world, on occasion into our house.
I couldn't get any pics of it tonight, but I will try to find the photos from last season later.

They are pretty interesting birds:

We love the scrub turkeys. Before our wedding, I had visions of blogging as our local scrub turkey to document the progress of our wedding preparations. The time was so busy I only ever did two entries!

This was life pre- Janey & Charlie.

Hahaha that's cute!
Barry bushturkey was working again today, and eating mangoes from the tree. I wonder if he notices that he's hatched a bubba?
