Mazzie has just been EVIL to the other birds recently, so much so that I got totally sick of listening to her threat calls to them all day long.
So, tonight, I rearranged my birdroom. Mazzie is now over next to an amazon who is much louder than she is, so if she wants to threaten she will just be drowned out.
I seperated the other 3 too.. just for quiet for a while.
UGH.

Boy is she pushing it...

Just out of curiosity (or stupidity) - what does their threat call sound like? I know when a stranger comes into the house Atticus lets out her alarm call - short and sharp squawks repeatedly. When she wants attention it's a different scream altogether - longer and much more annoying (this is the one that gets on my nerves!) So which is which? It's a bit hard to explain I know - I should make a recording. She's going off right now the little terror...........
Yep, a lot like the alarm but with a lot of growling. Not pretty at all.
And.. when she gets threatening the others, they get to doing it back. Then I have a bunch of them doing it. Not nice sounding.
The rearrange has helped, a lot, but its not as convenient for feed/water times.
Athena (I gotta go put the cockatoo on the stand, she's driving me nuts chewing on the keyboard and my hands! LOL)
