Hello from Hervey Bay

Post by Kimmysmum »

Hello every one I have just become the proud "nanna" to a beautiful green ring neck. He/she is still having a hand feed once a day. Feeling a little stressed worrying that he hasn't had a pick of his seed yet

Hi Kimmysmum, and welcome :)

My IRN was like that also, didn't eat and just clung to the bars of his cage at the back the whole time til the very next morning. I was so worried! I have been worried the entire time since I got him, just like an over anxious mother.

How is the cutey doing now?
Loo :)

Hello Loo,
Our new little treasure had some Apple yesterday and my little Granddaughter put a piece of her lunch time Pear in for him and he picked at both of them off and on all afternoon. He is now calling a little when our visiting king parrots stop by our Patio for a feed. I also watched him crack a little seed yesterday, so I am feeling a little more confident. He was happy to sit on my arm and eat his baby feed off my finger not the syringe so that was a positive as well. But as we do I am still going to worry for the next while with him. At what age will he not need his formula???
