CAN ANYONE ANSWER MY "ORNALYTE" QUESTION?

I'm not sure if that is just a brand name. But it's the stuff you put in the water for their transition home, for stressful periods.

I'm just not sure how long to continue putting it in the water.

re: help - ornalyte and diet questions

Hi, I'm new to this site. I've posted on the intro forum and behavior forum today. For those who haven't read those, I just got a baby ringneck a few days ago. "He's" about 3 months old and was just weaned the day I got him. I mistakenly posted a question about ornalyte on the behavior forum, then r...

re: how long do I continue ornalyte?

Does anyone know how many days you need to continue the ornalyte in the water after bringing the ringneck home? (the stuff for during a period of stress) Also, I'm going out of town in a week and will have someone coming by each day to spend time with the bird and take care of him. Should I continue...

birdman,

have they ever gotten hurt? do you just let them flounder around or should I pick him up each time and bring him back to me or the perch?

Also, he won't go on his outside perches yet. Should I keep trying or give him time?

thanks for your help, donna
