Hello I saw this bird at a pet shop and thought it might be something more than just a turquoise ,so just wanted to confirm before deciding to buy it or not, so any help??

Neeraj, you mention that they are from South Africa, so my guess would be cobalts. They are very plentiful over here. If you get very lucky, it might be violet. Those are violets or cobalts. Unfortunately, narrowing it down from there becomes very hard when working with photos only. Thank you Johan, for the reply!! Is this a male or female grey cleartail??
I got this bird without the ring so cannot tell the age i thought it was a female so paired it with a male, is it a young male?? i have got some pictures of it in march when i first got it and also in April after one month??

here is another picture with some other birds including a blue cleartail bird as well and you can see there is a difference with the normal blue, these are from South Africa, I am sure they are not normal blues but i dont know whether violet or cobalt?? You'll get Blues and Greys with some split to CT and CHF (some to both)- none will be visual, and you won't know which ones are split. thanks shey. I am not very good at genetics but from what you have said, i think the cock is also split blue which explains the grey and the blue and the light color one is a female cinnamon i think??

There is a difference between Ch Fallow Blue or a Ch fallow split blue or a Blue clearheaded fallow and the same with the Cleartail. I would not recommend putting this two different mutation together. Grey is greygreen blue so you are going to end up with greygreen splits and green splits. Regards ...
