Re: Single for a very long time...

Hi guys We managed to get hold of a female IRN friend for my 18 year old male IRN. She is only about 2 years old. We got her in the first few days of October. We built them a bigger cage outside, but they are still staying inside just to get familiar with each other. She immediately started shreddin...

Feather dust - health risk

Hi guys I have recently heard about a lady that was diagnosed with emphysema. Apparently the docter said that it is due to the dust from her IRN's feathers... Can this be true? I am only concerned because we stay in a very small place and will probably also be exposed to this "feather dust"...

Single for a very long time...

My IRN is turning 18 in October. He has been alone (with no bird companions) his whole life. We moved out of my parents house earlier this year when I got married. My mom was usually at home to keep him company while I studied and worked. Now that we moved out, I am thinking of getting him a mate, j...

Re: I Dont know what to do about this

We had a problem with my IRN. Since he was a baby (he is 18 years old now...), he also wanted attention late afternoon/sunset, so we made a cover for his cage. Once you start closing him at sunset, he will get used to it. My IRN now starts screaming late afternoon/sunset until we close him and then ...

Re: Drinking habits

Thank you!

Hopefully it is not so serious... I'll try and have it checked out and put up a post if I find out anything...

Hand preference

My IRN refuses to get onto our left hands. He gets on your right hand immediately and will get on you shoulder or arm, but refuses to get onto you left hand. This started a while ago... he never use to be like that...
Maybe he is just full of nonsense... :D

Drinking habits

Hi there My male IRN drinks excessive amounts of water. We don't know if it may be just showing off or what. He get fresh water daily and can't wait for the new water to be put in his cage. He will sit there next to the water and drink as if he had never seen water before. Can it be that it is due t...
