Re: My IRN Rio
He was out of his cage for the first time today! :D I hope it'll get easier to tame him now that he can spend some time outside the cage. I think he liked it but wanted to stay close to the cage, just in case! :) http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio15.jpg http://www.monica-hagen.com...

Re: My IRN Rio
The breeder who sold it to me said it is a male. I guess we'll just have to wait and see then!
Ring Neck: I was going to name him Ringo, but then I saw the movie trailer and thought Rio was a nice name too. Then I saw the movie and the parrot is called Blue, lol! Oh well!

Re: My IRN Rio
I'm sure he's a male. He has black feathers under his beak but it's hard to see in the photos. http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio13.jpg And would a female ringneck eat her apple messy like that?? :D http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio14.jpg http://www.monica-hage...

Re: My IRN Rio
I'm surprised that he's not afraid of my camera! He doesn't mind me walking around his cage and taking photos of him. :) http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio9.jpg http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio10.jpg http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio11.jpg

Re: My IRN Rio
Thanks! The clown is Robin. I thought I bought a male parrotlet but it turned out to be a female mutation. So she looks like a male but is really a female. I didn't have the heart to return her to the breeder. She loved that toy and I loved her personality! :D http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fugl...

Re: Can I see your home made cage or aviary?
Thanks! I built it from scratch (I'm a carpenter). That's the second cage I built. I made a smaller one for my first parrotlet a few years ago:
I don't like the look of the normal bird cages so I build them myself.

Hi, I'm new here! :)
My name is Monica and I'm from Norway. I recently bought a blue IRN and found this forum when I was searching for info about ringnecks. I'm a member of a Norwegian parrot forum but not many people have these birds and they can't answer my questions about ringnecks. Love this forum already! Lots of g...

My IRN Rio
I bought Rio on Tuesday. He's around two years old and not tame, but I'm working on it! :) http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/ringo1.jpg http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/ringo3.jpg http://www.monica-hagen.com/bilder/fuglene/042011/rio5.jpg http://www.monica-hagen.com/...

Re: Can I see your home made cage or aviary?
I built this cage for my two parrotlets. I use it for my new IRN now.
