Re: advice or tips to gain trust

This is such a great topic!

I think it's useful for both the novice and experienced IRN owner.

Thanks everyone!

Re: Bluffing and bonding...?

Hi Ellie Thanks soooo much for your reply, I really appreciated it;-) What you say makes a lot of sense. I think it is bluffing as Jameson is only 3 months and a bit old. Do you have any idea how old they are when it is not bluffing anymore, and it's just the way they are? How long does bluffing gen...

Bluffing and bonding...?

Hi everyone! I have a quick question... My IRN jameson is bluffing at the moment, but he is bluffing far more with me than with my partner. If he has bonded with my partner, will he ever stop bluffing with me? in other words, is it possible for an IRN to bluff with one person and not the other? Will...

Re: normal behaviour?

I'm guessing a week or two.

What you should do is play the sound files of IRNs talking, you can find them in the 'articles' section.
I pressed play, and jamie started having a fat old chat to my laptop;-)

Let us know how it goes

Re: normal behaviour?

Hey there, I'm new here, so i generally rely on others for advice, but i recently got an 8 week old IRN, and he also didnt make a sound at all...trust me, this passes....Yours will almost certainly learn to make noise (and a lot of it) on a saturday morning, particularly if you have had a big night ...

Re: birdie on my shoulder...

Thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. I think that I'll hold off on the shoulder thing for a bit, as I'm currently quite attached to my ears :D Jamie has started talking to me too, yay! Although, he's a bit louder when dealing with me than with my partner, but I takes what I can get...

birdie on my shoulder...

Hi everyone! I would like to find out your opinion on letting your bird on your shoulder. Every site I go to gives me a different view, and I'm not too sure which one is correct. He is still bluffing, but not badly, so hopefully he'll get over it soon. Also, he sits with my partner and mutters in su...

Re: And so it begins....

Hey everybody, thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate it.

I have worked out that i should just carry-on with stepping up, as he's only bluffing (when the heck will it end;-)

Will post photo's of jamie soon.

Have an awesome evening.

And so it begins....

Hi everyone, I'm new here, my name is Justin, and I've recently bought a beautiful 8 week old IRN named Jameson. I did introduce myself in the 'introduce yourself' section, but I'm guessing that's not the most widely read thread :D Jamie is now 9 weeks and 2 days old, and is weaning very well but......
