Breeding 2 IRNS
Have 2 Indian ringnecks, they were housed together for about 4 days together and all of the sudden when i bought them a bigger cage the girl started to fight with him, I separated them and the next morning put them together again, then a day later she got mad at him for food and she has not allowed ...

Re: Urgent, Breeding my 2 IRNS
Thanks I will try and check for the signs of that, and i have already put the nest in the box, so she gets use to it.
The first time she saw it she got scared but we'll see.

Re: Getting my IRN outta his cage
When i got my first indian ringneck Jade, she only came out whenever i would leave the room, she was very shy to come out when i was there, so id leave the cage door open and left, then came back and found her on top, this is not always good to just let them keep coming out by themselves but i thin...

Parrots tend to do this when happy, or calling you for attention.
This isnt a bad thing its natural.

Re: cant stop nibbling
Hi, I had an IRN that was very nibbly, best thing to do is to build trust because when he bites you he's trying to tell you that he wants to get off you and usually just nibbles so you put him back at his cage, usually the training steps will go along the lines of : 1. Building trust 2. Teaching to...

Re: harness training
My IRN Jade had some trust issues with me, when i got her from a pet store she was very mean, she would attack when you went near her, slowly i began to teach her the ''step up'' command and she began to build more trust, I find that the best thing to do is to introduce things in baby steps, becaus...

Re: how do i determine the age of my IRN
Hey, there is no really accurate way to tell an Indian Ringneck's age visually until about 2-3 years of age, Male will display a black/pink ring and female will display a faded lighter ring that blends with her feather colour, also sometimes you can tell if the male shows signs of dancing, bowing h...

Re: is gIzmo my 6month old IRN plucking his feathers or molt
Hey, I believe that Gizmo is molting, he's way too young to be plucking but in some cases they do pluck. I have currently a Indian Ringneck (Sazu) who is molting, he is ruffled and is always grooming and getting rid of fallen feathers, which is normal, so to answer your question I believe he's molt...

oh ya about that, how big is your nesting box and did you just get it at a petstore?
