I haven't gave up on this yet as the people that sold the pair of Blue IRN's to the local breeders said they usually lay in March. I'm just getting anxious. Don't know about my immediate area, probably could fins something in Spokane 2hrs away, but I would still like to be picky about the breeders

Get alittle anxious

Well the local breeders I have shared about haven't had any IRN eggs yet. This pair they haven't bred yet. Also they have a African Grey pair and they had eggs, but it doesn't look like a fertile situation. They got the Greys for a good price, but but they haven't been proven yet. They are probably ...

I don't believe in Palmist or fortune tellers but when I was a sprout, had someone tell me I would live ouside of the States until I check out. That kinda stuck with me over the years and I always seem to be attracted to New Zealand, like I am supposed to be there. Kinda weird feeling. And now I hav...

good luck on the pups. Alot of work, finding homes and all. I've done some breeding in the past(birds and dogs) and do know if I want to go there now. Met a Vet student the other day when out for a walk with Dempsey. She was very impressed with my guy. She has two Boxers one a reverse Brindle like h...

Stunning!
People do all kinds of questionable things as far abandonment. Goes for as types of pets. I've done some volunteer work for the local Humane Society and saw all kinds of things. It's dangereous though as you want to "rescue them all"

Cage height

I thought I was settled on the cage I was looking at for my anticipated IRN. It was a nice one with a playtop 72" tall. I have read threads here about cages and they look nice but wonder about the warning of not letting the bird being that high, especailly one that may bite or feel superior. So how ...

Happy

I've shared alittle since I've been here. My Lucretia(Maxie Pi) the one that loved the EX and not me. She said HAPPY to me today. This was a word she learned from the gal I was with right out of the gates. I've shared how she has been coming around lately. The scenario was I was scratching The White...

This one caught my eye. Chemical dependancy is alot to deal with and many do not understand how widespead it is. Mikaela be glad you weren't on Oxycotin. Many became highly addicted to that medication. I myself had a back surgery and as a result still deal with pain. I was on hydro's for about 6 mos...

I am glad to get the advice and comments here and appreciate this site so. Thanks Neokireina. I enjoy the challenge of getting those shots. I don't know what is harder to shoot though, birds, dogs, or people. The pets's don't seemed worried about the results though. BTW, that's Twirps eye. I did put some text in it, but it can't be seen this small. At the bottom it reads "...

Still the straight poop

Whoah Mikaela, all that sounds rather gnarly. And the Quaker comparison, hmmm, mine must of been high octane. I quess I admit that it would be hard to not flinch if a bird was fanging out on my finger and I knew it was going to happen. I also know how parrots can bluff, bully and test their caretake...

Hi everyone

Hi, a little introduction. I do not have a IRN and am glad I came across this site. I have been considering another bird and have been going through quite a list and narrowing the field. I am not totally new to parrots having owned and lost my Quaker ,"Twirp" after 4 years (that was about a year and...

The straight poop

Hi all I haven't introduced myself(on the other topic forum)yet and have been lurching. I, as a few I see come here, for info on IRN's to see if it is kind of feathered friend for them or not. I lost a Quaker a year and a half ago. It was a tragic accident and had "Twirp" for 4 years. Last year this...
