Just got off the phone chasing another dead end *sigh*
Thanks for your understanding - it's hit us all much harder than we would have guessed possible. He really is a member of our family, and it feels wrong without him here.

Re: Not sure if a found ringneck is our Pesto :(
Yep, parrotalert, RSPCA, Gumtree... We're in Tingalpa, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It's amazing how many of these are found, but we've had no luck at all so far :( We used to clip Pesto's wing, but stopped because we liked him being able to decide when he wanted to come for a visit, rather than...

Re: Not sure if a found ringneck is our Pesto :(
Also, is there a way to confirm the age of an IRN? We know for sure that Pesto is just over 3 years old, so if there was a way of telling the age of this bird, that would help immensely.

Companion bird?
Hi guys, We love our IRN, Pesto - he's great to have around, fully tame, and has no real behavioural issues, besides the one I'm asking about today. The problem is, he's a real company bird, and squawks like mad if you leave him alone at all. That's not an issue a lot of the time, as we love having ...

Her other love is banana chips... G'day all, New member here - very useful and friendly forum, cheers! I decided to give our IRN, Pesto, a banana chip today on a whim, but then worried that it might not be good for him (incidentally, we're not sure Pesto's a him yet). In case you aren't sure what a...
