Also should I let him out of the cage, even though he will not stay on me??? as I do not want to stress him catching him to put him back, and advice welcome :wink:

Hi pleased to meet you Karen, I too have a RLN he is 5 months old so I am learning the ropes so to speak Ha! at present I am trying to gain his trust and get him to take treats from me, no such luck so far :( but I am waiting for help from the forum, I live in a small village in UK in a 500 year old...

Hi Dawn Does he accept treats from your hand? That is the first step to training your bird. You can give him rewards for staying on your hand.
