Re: female ring neck dieing ?

probably egg bound, I've read that if you keep your bird humid in a fish tank, warm and humid. She'll probably squeeze out the egg slowly.. Sure bet is you try to get to the vet they'll take it out..

your question is probably 2 months late..

Well, I believe London are in the Northern Hemisphere so should be the same as in the States. The Ringnecks started breeding approx 2 months ago. Some of my Ringnecks have hatched. You might still have sometimes left for them to breed. Indoor is fine, as long as your cage is big enough for them to f...

Fah I agree of what you're saying, but my guaranteed is just a figure of speech. I like to give him hope that he'll get a prolific breeding season. Just like my pair, I don't know what I might get this year, but I'm hoping more violet out of them..

You'll get most violet .. LOL

hmmm.. I might be lucky, but I'll guaranteed that you get 3 violets out of 5 eggs for the both.. I have a Cinnamon Blue cock, violet green/blue hen.. 5 eggs for some reason only 2 fertile ... guess what I got.. 1 Violet, 1 cinnamon Violet hen, that's last season.. Right now the pair are at it again....

So it's the time of year where everyone should see at least 2 to 5 eggs in the nest of their Ringneck. I went to look inside the nest box of 1 of my pairs a couple of day ago, and she has 3 eggs and partially sitting on them. I noticed she still comes out to mates, and today she's in her box incubat...

I believe her diet is fine except for the Eggs, don't know how much egg you give your bird, but egg is very high in cholesterol. Should only be given for breeding or post breeding to raise young. That's my opinion though I might be wrong.

How long should I let the hen rest after infertiled clutch

I live here in Los Angles, California. This is my first year breeding IRN. My hen is proven, but the Cock is only a little older than 2 yr. They went thru the breeding ritual and had their 4 eggs. The hen incubated for 25 days, and I let her. I did not want to disrupt her so I wait until the hatch d...
